MDA Hellas House

MDA Hellas recently acquired its House through two major sponsorships: 1) by the National Bank of Greece; and 2) by the A. G. Leventis Foundation.

The building, 700 m2 in the centre of Athens, is located on the symbolically named ‘Elpidos’ (Hope) Street, which is long-established as a pedestrianized road. It is a two-storey building with a semi-basement, an elevated ground floor and a terrace.

The building is situated on the pedestrian walkway and is within walking distance of the Victoria metro station. This is a particularly important advantage for facilitating the access of MDA Hellas members with serious disabilities.

The main purpose of MDA Hellas is to improve the daily routine of patients with neuromuscular diseases, and that is exactly what we want to offer with all the services that will be provided in our House.

In the MDA House we offer services based on standards of care.

Indicatively:

  • Psychosocial support
  • Social Care
  • Therapeutic Gymnastics
  • Educational Workshops
  • Recreational Events
