In the first week of June MDA Hellas welcomed summer with a remarkable wave of unity and selfless assistance.
The promotion of solidarity and volunteering, teamwork and collaboration were the messages spread by the action taken at the MDA House through the help of the US Embassy.
On Thursday 7 June USS New York crew members were located in Greece for educational purposes and assisted with painting and making minor repairs to the walls of the MDA Hellas House in the centre of Athens.
MDA warmly thanks the US Embassy for their contribution to achieving this initiative, the Vitex paint company, especially Vasilis Vlachogiannis, for their immediate response by offering the paints and the Chryssinas Bakery, which supplied us with sweet and savoury snacks.
